In this time of self-quarantine, it’s easy to get discouraged, especially for church-going “people persons” like us who have been attending Living Word for so many years. We miss fellowship so much, but we must comply with the rules for the safety of others. It’s a frustrating situation.
The Bible has many verses that start with “And it came to pass…” Trying times like we’re experiencing now do indeed come to pass. The good news is that they come to pass and not to stay.
Don’t allow your spirit to become overwhelmed with this dark cloud of virus fear. As in nature, where the sun is shining above the clouds, Jesus is above all and still reigns, “shining like the light of the sun.”
James 1:3-4 says “…the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Just as we all wait patiently for the day we meet Jesus, let’s patiently wait with joyful expectation for Church meetings to resume. This experience will bring about good in us, and will soon be behind us. We will all be rejoicing together again in His presence.
I’m excitedly looking forward to that day! Aren’t you?
